Customers Quilts

Here is a bright cheery quilt made by Marcelle, hard to tell here but lots of fairy fabrics...click for a better view.
Here is a close up of the border, love the colour of this fabric, I did daisies to match the fabric with a yellow polyneon thread.

customer quilt finished

Here's what I finished yesterday for a customer.
Patsy has made this as a gift for a family member...hopefully the recipient will be delighted .I used a mix of polyneon threads but keeping the quilting to a minimum as this will be a 'working' quilt, not hung on a wall.

Under the Southern Stars

Here is my Under the Southern Stars Bom finished!! Yippie, I am pretty pleased with how this has turned out. This is a design by Sue Daley and I had the lovely 'job' of making this as a sample for The Country Yard . I took my time choosing a suitable quilting design and I'm pleased I did, true to my like of lots of quilting.

Here is what I did for the centre, a mock trapunto, look and afterwards I thought I could have done some trapunto, but it was one of those quilts that I really had no ideas forming in my mind, until I started quilting then it just grew.To do trapunto you need to have most of your quilting ideas in place before you tack the quilt up...no stress as either way 'planned' or 'unplanned' the quilt tells you how it wants to look!

A wee close up here of a design that fitted well into this area, again a mock trapunto look.
This is available as a 12 month BOM please click here for more details.

My Garden BOM

Second block finished! Isn't it cute, those buttons are really sweet. This BOM has been very popular at The Country Yard it has sold out.
PLEASE excuse the sideways photo, but I tried this 3 times and each time the photo flipped when up loaded...I'm not sure why this happened as it the first time it has happened.Has this happened for anyone else???I got my husband to have ago, he saved the photo on a special file...still the same problem.
Anyway just lie on your side to get a good look!!
He, he, he.......
